The Queen Mary
Almy Tau | June 28, 2008 | 8:14 amSo it was a Sunday in California and we were going to move within a week, and we decided to do one last trip to one of the popular tourist spots in Long Beach — the Queen Mary. After a huge meal at the Cheesecake Factory in Redondo Beach, we drove there with the help of our GPS. The weather didn’t look promising at first, but thankfully it cleared up.
Quite honestly, I don’t know what the Queen Mary is or where it came from. But it’s a nice place to visit. We paid for the museum, but quickly got bored and went up the stairs of the hotel-ship to the top deck (yes the ship is also a hotel). The scenery was beautiful, and Amira wanted to climb on the guardrails which caused my heart to jump several times.
A couple was getting married at the deck, so we ‘borrowed’ their stage to make a quick photo of our own. Apparently, the Queen Mary wedding package is quite popular.
